Day 7
This is the last day for the competition. I think this is sad and happy, kind of bittersweet. It is sad because it is really fun but happy because we get to see who wins the prizes! it was really hard to come up with the description that reflects on the daily competitions.

Day 5
This is the fifth day of the literacy learning journey competition. The one where the top 3 get to get a prize from their literacy teacher. The most challenging part of day 5 of the competition is coming up with really good reasons why you would like to do a specific thing.

Day 4
For literacy, we are half way through the competition that hes prizes for the first second and third. We couldn't do activity 2 because the video was not working. The hardest parts of the competitions are when you actually have to make decisions by yourself.

A.N.Z.A.C
For the last two weeks, we have been learning about ANZAC day and why we remember the people who have risked their lives to let us live the way we live right now. We read lots of stories about Anzac day, there are lots of poems about it too. We had a special visitor ( someone called Connie's family Nana) come to see us and talk about Anzac soldiers. She also brought out a soldier's penny. We also watched videos and animations about what happened at Anzac-Cove. Some of the activities we did were:
- Researching why the Last-Post is so important.
- Researching what a soldiers penny is.
- Researched what dog tags were.
- Drew an Anzac button.
- We had to write down 5 questions we would ask a soldier who has been in WW1
- Draw an A3 poster that has 6 pictures 2 of Chunuk Bair (one of what it looked like in the war and 1 of what it looks like now) 2 of Walker's ridge (one of what it looked like in the war and 1 of what it looks like now) and 2 of Quinn's post (one of what it looked like in the war and 1 of what it looks like now).
- we also made a timeline for what happens in a dawn parade.

phonics prefixes
Last week, in Phonics, we learned about prefixes. A prefix is a small group of letters that go before a word to change It's meaning, such as: re, im and dis. for one week, we have been learning about the prefix, 're' the prefix 're' means to repeat or do again. We made a word tree and put in ten words that start with 're' and put a table near it to show what we have written, Have a look below to see my one.

day three for today is badminton
Today we are doing activity three
I am doing some research on badminton today
the research will be what is the name of the sport?
second there will be the aim of the sport and last of all is two rules of the sport
and a photo of me doing it (not in the pool)
so the name of the sport is going to be (you probably guessed) is ... Badminton
the aim of the game is... to get the most amount of points
and two rules (or more) of the game is that you have to hit the shuttlecock over the net, if you are serving then you have to serve diagonally, if serving and out of the inner rectangle then it is out, if it is one or more hit past the serve than and only then on is the piece in the middle not an out bit and last of all the outer recangle , if the shuttlecock lands out of the outer rectangle the other team gets a point and they get to serve, if you win then you go again and then you get to serve, and if you get out then the other team gets a point.
sorry but i could not get the correct pieces of equipment here is the photo (sorry for any convinience) :
