Tessellation

We Are Learning To tessellate.

We got a sheet of paper with triangles on it and got a shape and tessellated on it.
After we finished tessellating we coloured the shapes in.
The picture above is the tesselation that I drew and coluored in.
My favourite part of doing this is the drawing because in the middle of drawing I get a few optical illusions.

Autumn poem

This is my Autumn poem
Goodbye warm breezes, hello cool winds.

Goodbye long Summer breaks, hello piles and piles of work.

Goodbye 30 degree days at the beach, hello cold 0 degree
outdoors.

Goodbye photosynthesising green leaves, hello the raking of
the dead brown fronds.

Goodbye delicious durian flavoured ice-blocks and lime
flavoured, ice-creams,

hello appetizing warm noodles in delicious soup.

Goodbye amusing outdoor supper, hello toasty indoor
feasts.

Goodbye incandescent sun, hello dim pale moon.

Goodbye long sizzling days, hello long boring nights.

24 hour clock

I am making a 24 hour clock with Thing-Links with what I was doing in the last 24 hours.
We have learned that with history that you can go back to see what you have done the days before
Also if you edit the Thing-Link and you post it on the blog, then the thing-link on the blog also changes!

Lemon Writing

We Are Learning To write descriptions.
This is my lemon writing.
We had to learn what it tasted like, felt like. smelt like and looked like.
The part that I most looked forward to was the tasting, ( it tasted better than I thought. )

The lemons stared at us. I was awakened by the smell of the appetising citrusy lemons. The inside looked like the scales of the mullet fish. the whole thing had yellow on it. and there we go! As I gnawed into the juicy object, the sour citrus flavour  detonated and overflowed in my mouth. After I ate the rancid yellow, moon-shaped object, I really wanted another... and another... and another.

Autumn Writing

We Are Learning about Autumn. We wrote our ideas in a solo describe map. After that we put them into sentences. And after that we went through a process of making our paragraph better. We highlighted the adjectives yellow, the similes pink and our favourite sentence green.

1.Attempt: Leaves fall from the trees. It gets colder in Autumn. There are also longer nights, as well as shorter days. The sun goes down earlier and we also have daylight saving.

2.Attempt: Small brown leaves fall from the tall trees. It also gets much colder because winter is coming. There are longer dark nights and shorter bright days because the yellow sun gown earlier. We have daylight saving to help us with our daily routine.

3.Attempt: Small brown leaves of all shapes and sizes fall from the tall brown trees. It also gets colder and windier in Autumn because winter is coming. There are longer black nights and shorter luminous days because the sun goes down earlier.We also have Daylight saving to assist our daily routine.

Spencer Park Recount

Last week on Friday the Senior Syndicate went to Spencer Park on a bus.

Last week on Friday I went to Spencer Park on a bus. On the trip to the  large park I was sitting next to a friend called Jayden. We spent the whole time talking to each other about a Pokemon called Mewtwo. Once we got there, we had to sit down and have a small meeting about the boundaries and the safety of us.  

After the meeting we all got to have a bit of Morning Tea and after that we got to go and rush to the playground. I went on a big structure made of red ropes and looked like a cross breed between the Twin Towers and the Eiffel tower… except it was made out of ropes.

Next I went to go and follow Lauren, on the way there I went to a sort of object that I had to spin on. It was basically a disc on a pole that could rotate.

Then I moved onto the sand pit. The sand it had a pump in it so that when you pumped it water came out of it  and into the sandpit. I spent almost the whole time in the sandpit digging waterways and blocking off any unnecessary waterways.

After a long time in the sandpit it was time that we had to move to the beach. First we took off our shoes. Next we went onto the soft warm sand. After that we had a hole digging competition. Sadly my team didn’t win. Next we had a little co-operative activity in groups. The activity was to make a little sign to represent our favourite heroes ( this is not a competition.)

After that happened we went back and ate our lunch. After we ate our lunch we went onto the playground again. After that we went back to school. (also I fell asleep on the bus.)

I enjoyed going to Spencer Park because I got to go to the beach go onto the spiderweb and spend some time with my friends.

Math Enlargment

We Are Learning To enlarge pictures. 

So first I got to choose a picture to enlarge. Next I got a pencil and got to work. We had to be exact about where to put the lines. So that is how I got the finished product.

the part that I liked the most about doing this activity is learning at the same time as having fun
